I can't believe that it is the 31st of October. Today, we are having our first snow flurries so it does make us realize that it is Halloween. We have been fortunate as far as weather is concerned as it has been about 10 degrees above normal last week. However as of yesterday, we are back to colder and much more windy conditions.
Because of the windy conditions yesterday, most of the leaves have fallen and this morning, DH and I raked those darn leaves. We got about half of the lawn done so will have to get the rest of it done another day. Since age is catching up to us, we have to know our limits and quit before over doing it. Also, DH was in the hospital again for 5 days. Again, his heart was checked and the doctors say his chest pain is not due to heart - a good thing. However, they did the scope test to his stomach and again, all was normal. They did release him from the hospital without finding out what the problem is but he is still scheduled for more outpatient tests.
I want to wish everyone a Happy Halloween. Because of where we live, two miles from a main road, we do not get any trick or treaters. So, it will be a normal quiet night for us. Until next time, have a great week.
Time to say goodbye...

Trick or Treat!
(now you got at least one, right?)
Happy Halloween!
I live in one of the biggest cities, and yet we get no treaters. Being on a very busy street with a hill and no proper sidewalk keeps them away. Hope they figure out your DH's chest pain soon. Not knowing can be so stressful.
Sorry to hear you husband's been back in the hospital. Does he have GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease by any chance? The pain mimics a heart attack. If the stomach test you mentioned isn't an endoscopy (a look at the esophagus) perhaps he should have that done. I'm certainly no expert, but I have GERD and was given an EKG when I went to the doctor with chest pains and then the endoscopy, after they ruled out heart problems.
Mumzy, wishing the best for your DH's health concerns.
This was the first year I didn't pass out treats. Over the years the number of visitors had dwindled down to 8 last year. I do hope that all the children had as much fun as my grandchildren did!
As your area gets colder we are enjoying a blast of unseasonably warm temperatures these past few days. It's all glorious, being outside in the fresh air!
DH and I wondered if you got any snow ;o) It was just rain down our way. Remember, we live in God's country. LOL! It's been a bit cooler but we still haven't had a killing frost yet.
Glad to hear that Dad is home again. Hopefully they'll schedule those other tests soon.
We only had 50 kids this year. It was raining off an on so I think that affected the number. That's okay though because now we have extra candy :o)
