Back Home

We have finally got back home after spending several days in Moncton, where we visited my MIL in the hospital. The doctors have surprised us by calling a family meeting to discuss what was going to happen next. She still continues to be assessed this week and next and then if all goes well, they will allow her to return to her apartment with assisted living. We are also going to get her a lifeline for when she will be alone. She was not happy about having strangers in her home but finally agreed that if that was what it took to get back home, she would agree. DH is going to call her almost every day especially for a while and my BIL and his wife will also be around there until January at least. Big load off our minds.

Moncton did get hit by a big snowstorm last Friday and where we had only got a couple of inches here, we were surprised to see the amount of snow they had gotten. On Saturday, when we got there, even the sidewalks were not clear so people were walking on the street. Dangerous.

When we got home, part of our cove was frozen over. Today, some of the ice receded a bit but we are still partly iced up. This is early for the ice.

Tomorrow we are heading to DD's to help out on her packing. Since her DH is away, we are on call for any help we can provide. Brie will be happy to see us anyway. DD cannot tell Brie that we are coming as she gets way too excited. Brie is such a sweet little dog, we just love her.

We just heard this week that we are going to be cat sitting for our friends. This is going to be in mid-January for 11 days. This cat is way overweight and is far too spoiled, even by us. It should be fun anyway.

Just put supper in the oven so best be going. Happy belated Thanksgiving to our US Friends and everyone have a great weekend.
