Well, yesterday, I finally got back to work for a little while on my quilt or I should say one of my quilts. While in Moncton last week, I picked up some more material that I will be using to frame my squares. I think this will do the trick. With blues, there are so many different shades and they don't all match. Today was a different story - no time to work on my quilt.
Today, I helped DH with the framing of our new windows and putting up vapor barrier on one outside wall. I'm not a carpenter but I can hold this and that for him and feel like I am needed around here. It won't be long now before I lose all of the present cupboards. Hopefully, the new cupboards won't be too far behind as it means while I am without cupboards, I will also be without my dishwasher being hooked up and without my kitchen sink. Maybe I will lose some weight as I will have to do my dishes by hand in my downstairs set tub in the laundry room. I will just have to tell myself that it is just like it used to be when we were camping in the tent trailer years ago.
I think we will be making another trip to Moncton to visit my MIL who is still in the hospital and we have been told today, will remain there for at least another month. We are trying to relieve my BIL and his DW on the hospital visits. They live in Moncton and they go every day to visit her. Hospital visits can be very tiring on a person. Two years ago, DH was in the hospital for a full month and I went in every day to visit with him. The only good part was that because he was in the cardiac unit, he had his own room and was not feeling that bad. He was kept there so he would be able to be transferred to Saint John Hospital sooner for having stents put in. Now, I guess the waiting period to get that procedure done is a lot less as they opened up another unit to accommodate more people.
This morning I filled our two bird feeders just outside our livingroom windows. By suppertime, about 1/3 of each feeder was gone. Today, we have had purple finches, gold finches, chickadees, nuthatches, hairy woodpeckers and downy woodpeckers feeding. It was so busy at the feeders that the birds were fighting, with the nuthatches winning most of the time. It was entertaining anyway.
Tomorrow is another trip to Fredericton. DH has a therapy session for his neck pain. I guess as we get older, there are more trips to the medical facilities. However, there is nothing we can do about such things.
Enough for today! Greetings until next time!
Time to say goodbye...

I'd love to be able to bird-watch! The den in this house has 2 windowns that face out over the back yard so this spring I am going to put up some bird feeders. Maybe you will take pictures of your birds and share them sometime.
I sent you an email as well, but I want to say again how beautiful the scarf is that I won in your contest a while back. I love it!

Okay, I vote for paper plate and plastic utensils! Either that or get Dad to do the dishes ;o)
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!
That's quite a variety of birds. We get mostly crows around here. Tiger (my dog) loves chasing them out of the yard.
I vote for Cathey's response as well LOL
I remember we had to go without a staircase overnight (we had to replace the whole thing) and all we had was a ladder with three young children it was hell.
I love watching birds in the garden, but not very good with which is which,my son does have a birdwatching book maybe i should have a look!
Hope the therapy session goes ok!!
Oh definately paper plate time!!
My kids weren't really excited about the snow...they aren't big fans of the cold weather...our 10 1/2 year old Border Collie however was thrilled!!!

Who wonders why men do not feel the need to shovel their vehicles out.....listening to DH try to get out of the driveway in his van without shovelling.....and shaking my head! LOL
