Yes, we did get a storm this week - the worst this winter so far. Not only did we get a lot of snow but we also had high winds during and after the storm. Now the snow is done but we are getting hit with freezing temperatures. Right now at noon time, it is -14 C or +6 F. On top of that, with the wind, the forecaster said it could get to a wind chill factor of -37 C. That is cold and therefore, I'm not planning on going outside today. From the inside looking out, it doesn't look that bad as the sun is shining. We have two feeders on the front windows of our house and the poor birds are there continually today. It is hard to believe that those little things can stay warm and not freeze to death.
I am feeling so much better. On Friday, I did a lot of laundry and did some of the ironing. Then yesterday, I housecleaned. That dust on the furniture was driving me crazy, so to work I go. Now, I feel even better as I'm caught up on my laundry and my housecleaning.
I want to get back to my quilting, with a little luck, it may happen today. With the Holiday Season, with visitors during the holidays and with my being sick, I have not touched my quilt since the middle of December.
Have a great week everyone!
Time to say goodbye...

BRRRRR...that's all I have to say about the weather!!
Glad you are feeling a bit better...your daughter told me you weren't well.
Where did your husband get the book on Cornflower Crystal? I have all my mom's Cornflower, and some of her sister's (my aunt ofcourse). Mom cherished her cornflower, as a result so do I.
My son is presently in your daughter's area of the province, with his friend, and his friend's dad..looking at a car his friend might want to buy..told him I had never even been to that area!!
Anyway, enough of this book I am writing you!!
Take care...stay warm!!!

Like we keep saying, you have to move to our little part of the world ;o) Blooming dandelions in January...just imagine! Still no snow.
I'm so glad that you are feeling better but as usual, you probably overdid things by doing all that work at once. Take the time to quilt. Actually MAKE the time to ;o)
Brrrrr that is cold. Good day to sit by the fire and sip hot chocolate.
Glad you are feeling better. Hope you didn't overdue with all the housework. The older I get, the less dust on furniture bothers me!
Your outside temperatures sound dreadful! When I was young and lived in NY State, we had 20 below regularly - Fahrenheit, not Celsius. Luckily, we don't get that cold here in Maryland. We have highs in the plus 20F this week and that's plenty cold! No snow, but some possible later this week. Winter is certainly here.
What???? Dandelions in January???? I can only dream of that day!
Oh well, we do what we do and sometimes hobbies take a back seat and that's okay Mumzy! It's not a race unless you make it. Stay warm.
